In this week’s podcast, episode 1, I share my writing journey and how I came to be where I am now.
I originally planned to go into the medical field, but quickly found that it wasn’t for me. When I should have been learning medical vocabulary and doing physics labs, I was daydreaming. Writing stories in my head.
Once I finally realized the medical field wasn’t for me, the natural path was to go into writing. I’d always loved reading had written stories—often fan fiction—since I was in grade school.
I changed my major to English and suddenly loved what I was doing. One of my favorite things to do was analyze the stories I read in my English classes. I always go props for how good I was at it, so I knew early on it was a strength.
In short, I have done a lot of story analyzing and story craft over the past ten years.
This podcast will focus on how to analyze stories, what makes a great story, and why we, as human beings, needs stories in our lives. They promote spirituality and Christian values and bring us closer to becoming the people God wants us to be.
If you love stories and want to get more out of them, this podcast is for you. If you sit and think about a story for long after you consume it (watch, read, listen, etc.) or spends time discussing it with friends and family, then this podcast is for you.
If you are an aspiring writer who wants to be more certain that the stories you write are complete and fulfilling, this podcast is for you.
